FOR CONNECTICUT AUTHORS
Posted by Jan on: Thursday 01 February @ 16:18:50 (Read: 107)
News FOR CONNECTICUT AUTHORS from Pegi Deitz Shea

Borders Books is FINALLY going to begin incorporating children's book authors into their twice-yearly Educators Events. (EEs usually run about 4 days, during which teachers can get huge discounts, participate in a raffle, eat treats and other incentives.)

Craig Kennedy, district marketing director wants to hear from authors of books for school-aged kids. They're thinking about an author center for signings, handouts of curriculum guides, brochures, school visit info, and brief (10-15 minute) programs.

Already excited about this are the stores in Farmington, Simsbury, Waterford and Meriden; Stores "on the fence" are Milford are Fairfield. Stores not warm yet are Stamford, Danbury and Manchester.

Let's make this first EE a smash, so there will be lots more! We don't have much time--It's March 22-25. Please email Craig with your ISBNs and location at CKennedy@bordersgroupinc.com
